manual water pump as source of drinking water?

how can i check the cheap way to check for water pump as safe for drinking water aside from bringing sample to the lab? thank you very much for those who answer this my question.

That's pretty much it, unless you have a chem lab in your house or your car. While there are chemical tests that can be performed in the field for a variety of chemical contaminants, other chemical and biological contaminants either require expensive instrumentation or time for incubation of the biologicals.
