Absolutely!
Everyone seems to keep forgetting that Parakeets, (more properly known as "Budgerigars"...Budgies for short...) are indeed Parrots.
Veggies are VITAL to all parrots and this includes Budgies.
You can feed them Broccoli one of 2 ways: you can simply put a flower top in the cage and they can pick at the little buds, or you can put it in a food processor with other good veggies: carrots, kale, sweet potato etc. and grind the crap out of it until it's finely ground and then serve it to them.

Please do not regard "Miami Lily" or "whitney t.'s" posts as credible. Where did you get the idea that green vegetables aren't healthy for birds?
My apologies to you both but neither of you have any idea of what you are advising. If you have scientific data or other credible source backing up your statements, please post the links here. In the meantime, please take this forum seriously and realize that advising incorrect information with no credible data is not the way to go about things and can be dangerous.
These are my sources:

These are only a few. There are hundreds more I can reference.
Most Parrots need vegetables to maintain good health. There are some that have special diet requirements but for the most part, vegetables are vital to them, and broccoli is one of the best sources for many needed dietary requirements.
Sunflower seeds are high in fat, low in nutrition and should be regarded as "treat food" for the most part. They are the french fries of the bird world.
If they don't eat the broccoli right away, dont give up...it might take a while for them to realize it is a food source.

Yes. Make sure your Parakeet has fresh seeds, water, and a few fresh veggie cut up very small so he or she can eat them. Parakeets might like cut up grapes, green beans, broccoli, orange slices, bananas, apples(no pips) -- lots of healthy fruits and vegetables! Don’t give your parakeet avocados -- they can poison him! Your bird will let you know what he likes because he will throw what he doesn’t like on the ground!
All fruit and veg MUST be cleaned thoroughly before feeding!

sparkling vegetables are super for them different than for sure avocado, chocolate, onions, tomatoes and a few different exceptions. seem up foodstuff that are undesirable on your parrot. packaged foodstuff are no longer good. so feed sparkling ones. purchase organic and organic pellets. your parrot's eating regimen ought to have a super form of unpolluted culmination and vegetables. Make a mush with all vegetables and culmination. They like it. do somewhat of googling approximately what you're allowed to feed your parrot and you're no longer. good luck.

It's not healthy for birds to eat green vegetables. Green fruit is ok, not veggies. Veggies in the orange family is ok..like hanging corn, or a carrot (but not the baby carrots, they are a choking hazard)
