The Catterpillar 3126B and Cummins 5.9L are both very strong. Yes, you should expect more than 100K miles, with proper maintenance.

Its a Cummings Diesel is just that a Cummins Ford Does not make it , they just installed the best Diesel Motor on the planet, in the best truck on the planet and 300 to 400 thousand miles easy same motor all the good 18 wheelers are , Bold Moves

Try Cummins diesel. There is no Dodge Cummins Diesel Only a Cummins in a Dodge.

if you're talking about the international powerstroke, you should get many more than 100K miles. probably up in the 200's. Caterpillar engines are best, though. The big straight 6 semi diesels routinely rack up over 1,000,000 miles.

Good, most cummins will run 300k miles w/out any major problems. Way less problems than fords 6.0. (miss the 7.3L reliability)!

My husband drives trucks for a living. He has always said, the Caterpillar engines are much more powerful than any others.

ford doesnt use the cummin..they use the Powerstroke
Cummins and caterpillar are best
