my ex changed his number and didn't let me know about it. i have some personal belongings at his house and i want them back. he lives an hour away from me but i don't drive, i tried writing him a letter but he never got back to me. should i just forget about my belongings and buy new stuff or should i go to his house and get my stuff?

If it were me and I wanted my stuff back, I would go to his house and get it back!
Send him another letter explaining that you want your stuff back and you will be coming to visit him to collect it. Give him the specific date and time that you will be there to collect it, explain that you do not want any trouble, but you will be bringing your dad, brother (basically a bit of muscle just to make sure there are no problems).
Put your phone number in the letter and tell him to contact you if there are any problems with that date and time, at which point you can arrange a mutually convenient time.
Not sure what the legal routes are that you could take, but suspect they will be long, complicated and expensive.

Ask yourself are these belongings things that you can live without? Can they be mailed to you? Write another letter and ask him for the stuff and offer to reimburse him for the postage cost.

just leave him alone. Sorry you left your things at his house but If I were you I wouldnt worrie about it. are your things really that improtant? or do you just want to see your ex? I think you should just leave everything. and just get new things. Your ex sounds like an big dick if he doesnt answer you back. His trying to tell you its over and to move on. and I bet he has moved on as well. you can get new better cutter things.

well if you like your stuff then go to his house and grab them!! your going to flip when i tell you this! ok well you can google any ones name and their number shows up and same thing in the white pages and peoplefinder.com i think it was but your best choise would be the white pages!!

get ur stuff. it may be akward seeing him again, but he shouldn't get to keep your things.
