Activity is the key note of the universe and of every living being. Does it make sense to perform activity with the obejct of gaining desired outcomes or does it make sense to perform activity for the sake of work itself, irrespective of results?

Well, in the case of a technician, you need to have a result of making something work again. DURING the work, you have to concentrate on the work only.

As a musician, you can concentrate on the work itself the whole time, if you want to. The result can be a by product of the work you've done.

I do not believe that any being (animal or human) in the world works for anything other than results.

Animals will work sufficiently to feed themselves and/or their offspring and no more than that.

People used to be the same until expectations increased and now they work not only for food and shelter, but also for the other material things they feel are essential to their lives (cars, holidays, etc)

Even those people who carry out unpaid voluntary work are doing it for a result, albeit a good and altruistic. They may work to achieve a particular goal (eg. restoration projects), to assist other people (Salvation Army, Shelter, etc), or merely to make themselves feel good about what they are doing.

Work without a purpose (ie. a result) does not and cannot exist, because the outcome of work is always some type of result, change or consequence.

Working for the sake of work, of course. But you have to like your work, which isn't always the case.
