Our motto should be: "Eat to live, not live to eat". The purpose of eating is to supply our body mind complex with the lifeforce,or Prana, the vital life energy.

The Sun is the source of energy for all life on our planet; it nourishes the plants (the top of the food chain) which are then eaten by animals (vegetarian), which are then eaten by other animals (carnivores). The food at the top of the food chain, being directly nourished by the Sun, has the greatest life promoting properties. The food value of animal flesh is termed as "second-hand" source of nutrition, and is inferior in nature. All natural foods (fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts and grains) have, in varying quantities, different proportions of these essential nutrients. Second-hand sources are often more difficult to digest and are of less value to the body's metabolism.

So, you logically one should take something that is simple to digest than one that is difficult to digest.

One more thing is that there is a concept that veggie makes you weak. But, it is wrong. It depends on person to person. His state of body and mind complex.

One more point, if a veggie becomes proud of being a vegetarian, he is a fool. Food is energy and should be taken if required. Food impacts your mind and hence should be eaten properly. If possible one should be veggie! I was a non-veggie but has now turned veggie.

I honestly don't know since I've never been one. And I have only known one and she died of cancer 3 months ago at the age of 49. But I am not blaming that on being a vegetarian!! That was God's will, He wanted her with Him in Heaven!

Groceries are a lot cheaper. You don't have greasy walls. Dishes are cleaner. You will likely have a healthier body weight. After eating, you don't have a feeling of a rock in your stomach. After eating, you don't get that sleepy feeling. You crave sugars less. I also like that I can pass a cow on the road and knoe I won't be eating it after it's flesh has been prcessing for a couple of weeks.

Personally, besides not killing animals for food, I am not sure there are any benefits.

My cousin was vegetarian for 8 years and had low levels of energy, when he went back to eating animal protein, his energy levels went significantly up.

You never have to worry when the steak restaurants raise the price of those great juicy prime ribs because you will settle for just the steamed broccoli on their menu.

guilt free. Cute lambs get to live.

Downside -- you really want to kill and eat that lamb raw

Downside -- you can't move your sofa across the floor.

Downside -- You will go crazy eating bean sprouts.

There is only so long you can eat bean sprouts.

Before you go crazy.

God, I am hungry...

I need a Big Mac.

mmmmmmm............
