I'm looking for a main dish to serve with scalloped potatoes and rolls and apple crisp for dessert. Any recipes or ideas? Thanks.

Here in the South we eat a lot of gravy over rice or creamed potatoes, but if we don't need the gravy as when we have scalloped potatoes we like:
Baked or fried chicken (baked is my favorite)
I had baked chicken breast for dinner last night, served with red beans and rice.
Here is how I baked the chicken: I seasoned each breast with a little meat tenderizer, Season All and parsley flakes, placed in black iron skillet, covered with foil and baked in 350'F oven 1 hour. After 1 hour I took off the foil and baked another hour. They were tender and flavorful. That would be perfect with the other dishes you have. Any or all parts of a chicken are good baked.
Lightly fried sausage
Baked or fried pork chops
Broiled steak
Baked fish
Baked or boiled ham...any one of them will be delicious
God be with you

4 lb Boston butt roast (or larger if desired)
McCormick Herb & Garlic seasoning.

Rub the roast with the seasoning and br generous. Place roast in a roasting pan on a rack uncovered.
Preheat oven and roasting pan to 350*. Bake for 20 minutes. Decrease oven heat to 325* Roast for about 2 1/2 hours at 325* (longer time if larger roast)
A 4 Lb roast will yield a terrific meal for 8 and enough leftovers for barbecued pork sandwiches the next night and lunch for 1 or 2 the day after.
Serve some applesauce with your meal as well.

Pork goes very well with apples.
Here's a pretty simple recipe that would incorporate the flavor of apple and go along with your desert:

Apple Butter-Crusted Dijon Pork Loin

This pork roast is marinated with Dijon mustard then baked covered with apple butter. The apple butter forms a tasty crust on the pork.Ingredients:
• 1 3- to 4-lb. boneless pork loin
• Olive oil
• Salt and ground black pepper
• 1/2 cup Dijon-style mustard
• 1 1/2 cups apple butter
• 1/2 cup water

Method:
Rub pork with olive oil, then salt and pepper. Coat the pork loin with a generous layer of Dijon mustard and refrigerate for at least one hour. You may also refrigerate overnight. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Place pork in an oiled Dutch oven, add water to pan, and spread all sides of pork with apple butter. Bake pork loin, covered, for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes remove cover and bake an additional 20 to 30 minutes or until an instant-read thermometer inserted in meat registers 160 degrees. The apple butter should form a light crust.
Notes:
The Dijon mustard and complementary apple butter adds a unique flavor to the pork. This is a great low-fat, healthy main dish and goes well with a variety of vegetables- my family especially likes it with Brussels sprouts.

Any type of meat would be good. I am actually making the same thing!!!! But with BBQ Ribs. I should start since the Bears game is on in an hour. Oh and I love Curb your Enthusiasm also. Funny stuff.

Hamburger steak with cream of mushroom soup gravy. You can cut onion up small to add to your meat with your seasonings. Then season your soup a little and add the water. I always fry my patties so they are done before I add my soup and pop it in the oven.
