It took mine about 8 months to fully heal - I've had it now for 4 years. Just keep soaking it in the salt water (they probably gave you some salt at the piercing shop). how infected is it? mine had a red bump next to the hole. If it's oozing that's a sign of bacteria. Do you keep getting it pierced at the same spot? It takes a long time for piercing to close up - you may not be waiting long enough. Also I went in and had the stud rebent - that helped too - seemed that the angle was a bit off and putting extra pressure on one side. And lastly, I actually had mine checked out by my dr to make sure my nose wasnt going to fall off - she confirmed piercings take a long time to heal b/c your body is forced to grow around a pole as opposed to through it like all other wounds. don't give up yet!

Mine never got infected and it's not normal either. You should have taken it out 2 months ago at the first sign of infection. And by saying that this is the 3rd time you've done it meaning the third time you've pierced it that's just silly STOP PIERCING IT. Let it heal and leave it ALONE. True it is cute but think what would happen if the infection enters your blood stream not so cute anymore. Take out and perhaps go see a doctor to make sure it heals well. Good Luck!!

I had the same problem when I got mine pierced. Go to the drugstore and get Bactine. It should be with the first aid stuff. It will get rid of that pimple thing and is a better cleanser than you are probably using right now. P.S. don't use peroxide it can rust the nose ring and isn't a very good cleanser for piercings. You need something strong like Bactine. And you don't need to go to the doc.

If you have tried different types of metals, then your body is rejecting it. I know you like it, but it may be wise for you to take it out. You don't want to end up with a large hole in your nose or an infection so bad that you end up with an ugly scar on your face. A common place that staph is found is in the nose. You DO NOT want a staph infection in your nose. Please go to your doctor if you chose to keep the nose ring to make sure that you can get rid of the infection. Staph shouldn't be played with.

Have you tried disinfecting it with Detol or mild alcohol, or even a disinfecting cream? Or go see a doctor to get more solutions. I pierced my nose about 4 yrs ago, and I used mild alcohol and a cream (I can’t remember which one it is though) for the first 2 weeks or so to disinfect it. And it’s never been a problem so far…touch wood. DON’T USE ANYTHING TOO STRONG THOUGH, AS IT MIGHT MAKE IT WORSE. If you see that it gets worse, I advise you to take it off. I hope it gets better soon, and you can fully enjoy it.

You may be allergic to the metal in the post. Have you tried to change to gold or stainless steel. The other thing is do you have a runny nose, if you do you are probably infecting yourself.
