If I was part of an orginisation that throughout history has murdered, lied, raped and tortured I would leave and have nothing to do with them. Yet religious types carry on as if nothing has happened. They STILL reckon they are OK.

The mafia kill people and governments hunt them down and try to stop them. Why arent they doing the same with religion?

The catholics are nazi sympathisers,... no? .. Look at recent history. They backed hitler all the way..

Muslims are killers... 9/11.. their own people etc.. yet they carry on.

What possible reason could you have for keeping this monsterous practices alive?

There is no evidence that religion is REAL. Even if it was, the orginisations that CONTROL them have bastardised them beyond all recognition. No? Would jesus have wanted people to kill and steal in his name? Would muhamed have strapped on a bomb?

If you profess to be enlightened, why cant any of you see?

Or is it ALL just lies?........

How can you ignore the attrocity in your question, 'there is no evidence that religion is real,' ? ? ?

If you can't even see that , how can you claim to be 'enlightened' ?

You clearly have a problem seeing things.

Then you are guilty as charged and I take it that you are not 'religious' So where does that leave your question?

Let me tell you about a statement made by a Muslim on the BBC News, when asked why he was demonstrating against the British Christians, he replied "because of the Crusades", he sighted King Richard.
we are to blame he said,. First of all, the first people to attack in the area were the Pagan tribes from around Western Europe
So if we condemn every nation the we must condemn all humanity. So why this fixation with blaming Religion? Wars are started by man, Christ says we should love our enemies, not kill them

To get back to Richard to Lion Heart, he was French, and could not say a word of English, and really came to this country

Religion is the 'belief' in a God, or the supernatural, and the practice of that belief. Religion can be real without the existence of a real God.

People rationalize what's done in the name of their religions by saying that the wrong which is done is done by men in that religion, while the good is the result of God. They rationalize and use black and white thinking to explain what's happened, much the same way as children use black and white thinking when they grow up in a dysfunctional family. They separate "good mom" from "bad mom", and thus are able to love the "good mom". Christians separate away from the church that which is done that's evil.

Hi,

As humankind we are to ask forgiveness for all the bloodshed on Earth.. I dunno much about the pope but he should pray and ask forgiveness for the many murders committed in God's name/ WE ALL SHOULD./. The earth was screaming to God with Abels blood, imagine now, imagine the disaster when these things are purged.. We should all get on our knees and pray for all the harm we caused eachother, but we do not take it seriously.. Everyone points st someone else still and we continue to fight with eachother..

(And it is be impeccable in thought word and action, gossip is like murder.Peaople do not know what goes on energetically when they do, speak and think what they do everyday//.They do not know about the web of energetic cords we are all traPPED IN..)

I understand the message of the bible (because of a heavy experience I lived though, have described soeme in other posts, hell is no fun, being attacked by sin is no fun, ///you know when you are free of sin when you are in heaven, out of the illusion and heaven is NOT UNDER the earth like the preaher wants to tell you...God is for the Living..//and now I am close to Him) and can assure you it is real and yes religion has changed it//
The organized religion does not understand me and most JUMP to call me a false prophet,,and i dunno how they will change.

Just because other people have not understood does not mean it is all just lies.. Go within.. or go without..

Love

No one learned from your mistakes
We let our prophets go to waste..

How many people have you killed?
You live a western country. You pay taxes. These taxes fund armies that kill people most of which you don't hear about.
You buy food. That food likely comes from somewhere on the other side of the world (using tonnes of gas to bring it to you) grown by people who work for next to nothing because their country is forced into international trade organizations such as the world bank, IMF, NAFTA, WTO. These organizations force poor countries to sell cheap food to western countries while making poor countries buy ridiculously priced goods from western companies. almost everything you buy supports this. And when the farmers in the poor country get pissed off and revolt, you're taxes will pay for soem sort of western organization to go to that country and kill the revolters. you live on the land on which the largest ongoing genocide in history happened (300 million people killed) and the model for apartheid systems worldwide. Because of a piece of diamond from africa needed to make cellphones there is one african dies for every cellphone.
How many animals have you eaten in your life? Squashed insects, birds hit a with a car, etc? How many people/animals/plants have died because you live in a city that now occupies their former home? How many people die from the pollution of these cities? If you've ever bought anything from the Walt Disney corporation you are supporting the biggest nazi-sympathizing organization ever--Disney actually paid for the freedom of several nazi war criminals and brought them to the U.S...as for the Muslims being killers--what would you do if someone invaded your country and tried to steal all your resources. (As for Canada---we didn't even put up a fight we just let the amerikkkans steal our water and trees and now we have to fight in their wars...that was dumb)...don't even get me started on the millions of future generations we've killed off and the environmental damage we've caused. The disgusting thing is that we have other people to do our killing for us.. At least the people fighting religious wars have the decency to kill each other face to face.
You ARE a part of an organization that rapes, lies, murders and tortures. How do ignore the atrocities committed in your name?

Yeah, I've always wondered this. The usual answer is that "the vast majority of (insert name of bloodthirsty religion) are peaceful people that live a good life the way (insert name of mythical being) intended"

But I couldn't justify to myself being one of the "peaceful" people in the ku klux klan, or a benign member of the nazi party, or al quaida's receptionist. If the organisation is a force for bad (as religions surely are, both historically and now) I couldn't be part of them. Maybe that's just me.

Basically there's always the scapegoat. They blame that its the work of the devil affecting Man to do evil deeds..

Every single evil deed lies an extremists who is supposedly rejected by his/her religion when the time comes.

So its just this universal self-denial that every religion have, refusing to think that their teachings will lead to such atrocities.. heck, even agnostics grant this doubt to the religion

Yes its lies, its like Santa Claus, a major conspiracy that adults play on their children.. Now its just played on every believer

PS: If God really wanted to forgive us, does he really need Jesus to be crucified? Can't he just simply forgive us?

Even if you put all the religions out of business today, tomorrow some shithead would come along claiming to be a prophet or messiah and he'd have legions of zombie like followers in no time.

But it IS NOT what religous folks do that your concern should lie its what DO YOU DO, you live in A world that has A total death rate, no one lives and Jesus Christ the second member of The Godhead has provided the Way out. The only person that is an example of how to live as God commands is Jesus Christ, but why not visit A Seventh Day Adventist Church in your area. It´s convenient to ignore those facts. As christian history is NOT taught by the church spontaneously, it is clear that these are facts better omitted from them. Most believers are not facts collectors anyway so there is a good chance that those atrocities stay buried.
