What can I wear to my friends BM? The service is in the morning and the party at a nightclub from 7 to 11. I'm 12, btw. What do I wear?

well since its a religous ceromny i would be a little modest - no tight jeans low cut tops ect...

Dress as though you were going to a wedding, hat and all if possible. The other people attending will have made a big effort and you don't want to let your friend down. For the party -- well, try to find out what other people are wearing. A pretty dress sounds fine.

If you’ve been invited to a bar/bat mitzvah or bat chayil, dress modestly for the synagogue service and cover your head if you’re a man or married woman. The dress code for the ensuing party will be stated on your invitattion.

Would your parents or your friend's parents be able to advise you? Failing that, would you be comfortable asking the advice of the rabbi (at the synagogue where the Bar Mitzvah is taking place) or the rabbi's wife?

dress nicely. A pretty dress or slacks and a nice blouse. Dress as you would if you were going to church, or to a semi formal function. No jeans or casual clothing.

I wear what I want to where ever I want... CLOTHING is the best... if anyone complains about what you wear then tell them they can start buying you clothes that they think is more appropriate any time !
