Yes, they have not discussed about how to better implement a comprehensive immigration reform that grants legal status to the millions of immgrants that would be impossible to remove from the country.

Anchor babies. Importing cheaper labor when there are Americans qualified to do the job. That's mid and high end jobs not just low wage jobs. Faster process for those who have gone through the proper immigration process. Personally, I'm not for this "dual citizenship" thing. There's too many ways for the wealthy to get out of taxes etc. as well as people not having a commitment to the well being of this country if they can bop back to someplace else when the going gets tough. A better check on SS#s and the ability to find out if yours is being used by another. No sanctuary cities. Training police to be able to cross into ICE territory when needed to enforce our laws. No welfare etc. for non-citizens. Your legal status should be able to be asked and proved. If your a legal immigrant and are driving, it could be coded or colored and the date your visa expires on it. English only in business and public places. Still....more people to enforce our laws as they are now across the board. The fault is both state and federal. There's ALOT of things.

The first issue to be adressed IS sending them all back. I realize that all the pro-illegals have been saying it is impossible for so long that people are starting to believe it. The fact is it will be easier to ship them all back then to process them and make them legal. By granting amnesty you are allowing them to take cuts in front of everyone that is trying to immigrate legally.
According to Diane Feinstein's speech before congress, there are 3.3 million people waiting OUTSIDE the US trying to immigrate LEGALLY. She estimates that it will take SIX years to process them. She states that those here illegally will not go in front of those people, they will be processed first. Then those here illegally will slowly but surely be processed and granted green cards if they have stayed out of jail, paid their taxes and learned English. It is estimated that there are 12 to 20 million illegals here now.
Now let's do the math. If it takes six years to process 3 million then it would take 24 to 40 years to process the12 to 20 million. Meanwhile those people are HERE. They are not waiting outside. Should we then seal the borders for the next 30 to 46 years so that we can accomodate those that chose to thumb their noses at our laws? Should we tell the rest of the world sorry we can't take you?
The solution is to start rounding them up and deporting them. Come in the front door like everyone else. Stop granting automatic citizenship. Stop providing free medical care, free education, free lunches, food stamps etc, etc. The facts are in and have been for a long time. Illegals cost more than they produce. The US will go bankrupt if they don't cut these benefits off. We cannot support the entire world. We don't need a comprehensive immigration policy. We need to enforce the laws we already have.

Yes. I believe the biggest question is this: why aren't our welfare people already in the United States (5-6 generation "Americans") working the jobs that the illegal immigrants working? Here is an alternative just as radical as sending the hard working illegals back to destitute and hunger:
Send the white trash poor english speakers to mexico and trade them for hard working spanish speaking immigrants to work here!

It's one I wonder why the immigrates don't ask themselves.
Why does corporate america single out spainish speakers as the only group that can't learn english. Eastern Europeans and Asians are flooding the country, but corporate american seems to think they are smart enough to learn english.
I think corporate america (wal-mart/home depot, etc) do not want our new spainish speaking folks to integrate into society. If they did they would start expecting rights and a decent wage. It's an honest issue, why do they pigeon hole these people.?

Yes. There are two.
1. The anchor baby thing. That needs to be done away with.
2. Punishment for these illegals. They have gotten by with mooching off of the American tax payers for years, all under fake names and s.s. numbers. They should be put in jail for that.

LOL.
What HAS been addressed?
We've started towards a fence but it isn't built, people are still streaming across and overstaying. Emergency rooms are still closing and schools are still failing and overcrowded.
Only those who wanted the status quo to begin with would be happy.
Why does that not surprise me?

Do away with the "Temporary Worker Program". how many people are going to go back to mexico after 6 months when they see america. we need to get the fence built, and improve border security. we cannot send the ones here away now, but we can prevent more from coming.

Yeah, there are about 12 to 28 million "issues" that still need to be addressed. ASAP, or sooner.

I think the issue of the " Anchor Baby " needs to be dealt with.
I can't understand if your parents are illegal, why if you are born on U.S soil your legal?
