it's a band right??? and it was a public show, right?? Now this is just an idea, but what if those girls were there as sort of shills, to make a lot of noise for the band so people would think they are very popular and hot.
And then again, one of those girls could have been a gf of another band member; or his sister--trying to play up the band bigger. You'll go to another show. If they are there again, or a couple of them are, ask them who they are. Do they know anybody in the band...stuff like that. You won't know unless you ask.

Before you make yourself totally nutz obsessing over this, why don't you ask someone who knows him and his family to identify his sister?
Better yet, what if you asked him (directly or via the internet)? You could be really casual about it, joking, like I see you already have groupies (maybe "a fan club" would sound less denigrating)...or who were those ladies I saw you with the other night...(which comes from a classic comedic joke...the punchline is that was no lady, that was my....).
They COULD be relatives or fans or a mixture of those and girlfriends (not necessarily his; there are other band members!).
You say he basically ignored them at the end of the concert AND he looked and smiled at you several times.
Sounds like you've already got an edge!
Don't let obsessing blow it for you!
Good luck! (And stay cool.)

if it was his girlfriend he would have acknowledged them in someway. Why don't you just ask him? They might have just been some annoying groupies. Your best bet is to ask him it will show you trust & are just curious. Its better to be open with each other than to worry yourself in secret when he might not even know or like those girls. hope this helps

I don't think it matters who they were. If he is into you, they won't matter to him. Apparently he isn't interested in them.
