I had nightmares when I was in the military and when I was married, but I have recovered from both of those horrible events.

Many do. It's called Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome - PTSD.

occasionally I have dreams that I have fallen into what I was before Jesus. But when I wake up I know it is not true because I still know Jesus is there and he turns away when I sin.

Before I was saved I did,
now if I had them......it would be for future events.
As in, not being in the will of God, and paying for my own actions.
