Guess what? You already have a six pack! That's the good news, the bad news is you have too much fat around your waist to see it. So, what you need to do is burn it...and the best way to do that is to go crazy with cardio. Seriously, start off running 20 minutes a day, and then add 10 minutes a day to it after a few weeks, and 10 more a few weeks after that. You want to get up to 60 minutes a day. Once you've run for about 35-40 minutes, you are burning calories from your fat stores directly. You do that for a year and you'll be able to see your six pack. Swimming or biking an hour a day will do it too.

I am a female, but I had a six pack stomach (just had a baby, gotta get it back now!) I used to eat sensibly and do 50 sit ups every 2 days. I was told to do them everyday is not particularly beneficial. I also used to get on my exercise bike and do about 10-20 miles a day while I watched TV!

Hi, you can '' Given Up '' if you want. Just like your name. But let me tell you something. 1) Instead 14, I'm 41 ( truth ) and am single and broke. I'm using company's computer to surf but a big chunk locked. 2) Truth, compare to the world, you're STILL way above. 3) I don't know WHY you failed your subjects. But I don't find you spell A WORD wrongly in this letter. You seems to me better than a lots of people who wrote in here. 4) In all you wrote about topics of, Hot, Girls, Sports, Academics, Own Life and Friends, I simply suggest you don't FOCUS on all aspect at once. Take a small step one at a time and slowly build the '' GAPS ''. You're only 14 and still has a long way to go and '' TIMES TICKING ''. I've already wake you up and now is whether you wanna do it or not, it's entirely up to you. To wake up from ALL your NIGHTMARES, always REMEMBER that you had ONE proud thing, that is, your still YOUNG and CAPABLE to do ANYTHING, OK ? And if you believe in it, YOU CAN DO IT.

Crunches are best and there are many variations of those. As far as how many depends on your body. Other exercises work well, although not necessarily intended to be ab specific. I developed a six-pack doing karate guy kicks.

I don't think theres an exact number, especially because it depends on things like how big your gut is to begin with, and if you're doing sit ups properly. I'm sure its a lot, though. Start with 30 for a week, then up it to 40, and so on.

It's not just the sit ups. You could have a fantastic 6 pack, but if it's covered in a layer of fat you won't see it. Need to balance out exercise...

I'd say 200 a day but have a day off every week! Get doing those pressups too though for a perfectly all over toned body!

50 -80 a day should do it, surely? Start with 20 if you have to and build up -don't expect too much of yourself! and don't just do sit ups, otherwise you'll get a great belly but flab everywhere else!

You cant just do situps and get a sixpack. Jogging/running helps too. Besides, it all depends on the individual. Every person is different and builds at a different rate.
