All pink champagnes are sparkling wines? Sorry, ShaunaK is very very wrong.

My favorites are:

Veuve Cliquot Rose 1999
Schramsberg Brut Rose (this one is actually a sparkling wine)
Moet & Chandon Rose 1999

Nearly all Champagne houses make a Rose (Rose-ay). They fell out of favor for awhile due to views that Beringer White Zin helped to create (that pink wines are trashy and cheap), but they are coming back with a vengance.

You can get everything from a cheap pink sparkling white wine (like beringer) to a Dom or Cristal Rose for over $300.

And be aware that most Rose Champagnes are not sweet. They are in fact usually Brut, which is a drier champagne. The only reputable sweet rose I've ever really seen is in France at Mercier - they have a quite sweet Rose Demi-Sec.

If you are looking for an actually pink colored Champagne, You will not find one, They are all sparkling wine. Mostly Sparkling White Zin. Beringer make the best Sparkling Pink Wine. AKA Pink Champagne.

IF you want a good Champagne, well Sparkling champagne.... Try "Pink by YellowGlen" The bottle is Black with the words Pink on the front. In Pink of course, it's Australian.

It depends on how much you would like to spend. Most true "pink" champagnes are called rose My favorite is Perrier Jouet Blason Rose - most of the very good rose champagnes are over $100 a bottle. Moet & Chandon brut rose is probably the least expensive at around $55 a bottle. After that it is a matter of taste.

Try a Brachetto. Same as champagne but you can only call champagne champagne if made in the champagne region.

Brachetto D'Aqui is quite yummy. For something similar I would also suggest a Mascotto.

Foods to serve: ham pink lemonade watermelon pink iced donuts strawberries with the cake serve pink ice cream - strawberry or bubble gum flavoured Pink pasta: Beet and Spinach Gnocchi 8 servings 1 lb russet potatoes (recommended: small potatoes) 1/2 cup pureed beets (about 2 small beets; use pre-cooked or see method below) 1-1/4 cups semolina flour, plus more 4 ounces frozen spinach, thawed and drained (or: chop, sauté and drain your beet greens! The flavor is similar to spinach.) 2 eggs, beaten 1-1/2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon nutmeg, plus freshly ground black pepper to taste 4 tablespoons butter 4 3-inch rosemary sprigs Parmesan cheese Special Equipment: Ricer or Food Mill Preheat oven to 400F. Snip greens from beets (save for another use), wrap in foil and roast until soft, about 45 minutes. Remove skin under cold running water, set aside to cool. Boil whole potatoes, skin on, until soft, 25-30 minutes. Cool and peel potatoes by slipping the skin between two paper towels. Pass beets and potatoes through a ricer into a medium bowl. Stir in drained spinach, flour, eggs, nutmeg, salt and a few turns of black pepper until well combined. (NOTE: Drain spinach by pressing the water out.) Batter should hold together when pressed but still be sticky. Scoop a heaping spoonful of the dough onto a semolina-dusted work surface. Roll into a log, about 1/2-inch thick. Slice into 1/2-inch long pieces, transfer to a semolina-dusted parchment-lined baking sheet. Continue to re-flour (if necessary) scoop and roll dough until done. Warm butter in a skillet. Add rosemary and sauté 2 minutes until fragrant. Add gnocchi to pan and a pinch of nutmeg, cooking until browned, about 4 minutes each side. Continue until all gnocchi is cooked, adding more butter if needed. Once complete, toss gnocchi together lightly in a serving bowl with any reserved rosemary or butter from pan. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese to serve.
