It's about 2 gallons. Going to put it in a big thermos that has insulated sides. It has to sit in there for about 2 hrs before people are going to drink it.
P.S. should I add anything to the apple cider? (there will be kids present so don't get any ideas, heh heh :-))

pour boiling water into the thermus for about 5 minutes before putting in the cider. pour out the hot water and immediately pour in the cider. i promise you that the cider will still be warm 5 hours later.
if you dont use the hot water method the cider uses all of its energy to warm the thermus and it will cool down really fast.
if you really want to be a stunning host(ess) that people will remember forever go and buy some cinnamon sticks in the spice isle of your favorite store.
using a cinnamon stick for a twizzle stick makes hot apple cider taste SOOOOOO good.

No i dont think you should add anything to it. Apple Cider is delicious all by itself. =] Well i guess it depends on how good your thermos works. But i would suggest making it really hot, almost boiling because its going to cool down quite a bit and you still want it to be warm.

don't heat it past 145 degrees, or you will scorch it. And then it will taste bad. Keep an eye on it when heating cause it will heat faster than milk.
