I want to buy a house, I just found out my credit score is 536 I know part of that is studant loans, but I withdrew from school and have a letter from them stated that. My questions are, what is an ok score to be able to buy a house? Once I get the studant loans off my credit report how much would it possably bring up my score. You really should have a minimum middle FICO score of 580 - 620 to get a decent mortgage.
If you have student loans coming off your reports (and they are delinquent) it will improve your score, but dont count on it skyrocketing.
Also, just because you ask the student loan companies agreed to remove the items, dont count on it. They rarely do.
If you are really serious about buying a home soon, you should be proactive about removing negatives and adding positives.

do not fall for scams like chris's. he's a new scammer/con artist/identity thief on the internet started operating since september 06, collecting member's personal details on yahoo answers, anyone reading this you must not fall for what he is offering, all he wants is your personal details, which he will probably sell to fraudsters or make a fraudulent crime himself to get a loan or something.

Just keep trying. try FHA or other Groups like them. Just never give up. Also try going the re-financing route as well.
