why do boys have to be so mean to girls that are trying to be nice?

That's their way of getting attention, I think. And because no girl wants a nice guy. Girls like jerks. Why do you think that nerd who is the nicest guy in school who will give anyone anything doesn't have a girlfriend.

I asked my two sons this question for you and they said that they are mean to girls when they "like" them because they don't know how else to treat them....girls scare them half to death!!!
My 9 year old said that he treats a girl he likes justs like he would a buddy. Hopefully he will out grow this or I may never get to have a daughter in law!:>)

depending on what kind of "mean" are you referring to. There are some guys that can't be nice and they think that acting mean is cooler than being nice.

i don't know guys are weird trust me!! lol thats just their way of flirting, but normally when it's just u and him he's gonna be really sweet, but when he's around his friends he's gonna be alot different
