They can usually work out as a way to begin a relationship, but they can't last forever like that and eventually somebody is going to have to move if you really want to be with person. If you're already in the relationship and this person is leaving, it can work out if you really want it to, but it requires a lot of trust, honesty and dedication. My fiance is in the army and was gone to Iraq for a little over a year, but we still made it work and i can honestly say our relationship is stronger now. It's hard, but if you work at it by sending letters, instant messaging and phone conversations and just reaffirming your love for him it can happen.

Not usually. We are all animals of instinct, and eventually, your man will crave the comfort of being in physical contact (in one way or another) with you, and you can't be there. This is where the problems begin. Even if he is not out looking for someone else, another woman will eventually make an appearance, and he will realize either that he can get away with something you will never know about, or that he would rather be with a person that is always close to him because it's convienient. Trust me, I've been there.....twice.

sure they do!! in fact i have them to thank for my current true love!! they maybe harder to keep alive than the close-up ones, but they can be just as rewarding. the same feelings apply and its harder to get hurt in a relationship like that, but its also easier to come apart. its obviously much easier to forget, or even cheat on, someone u dont c every day.

but the bottom line is that if its true love, its no different than a normal relationship. when u love somoene u respect them...even if they're not around.

of course...at SOME point... u realise that ur gonna HAVE to meet, even if its just for a few hours, in order to keep the flame alive and to remind eachother why ur in this relationship in the first place. otherwise, no matter how strong the feelings are,..theres no point.

i know this sounds shallow, but whether we like it or not, the physical part in a relationship just cant be overlooked. its in our blood and its just human nature. we crave it...we need it... but even just a small dose is enough to quench our thirst...if u know what i mean.

so go for it if u think u can do what i said above.

good luck, sweetie. and i hope it works out, like mine did.

most of the time they don't well for me anyway...unless you guys can see eachother at least 2 times a week and can spind some time with him.. i just don't like long distant relationships because u never know what they r doing like r they cheating on you are they just gonna forget about you...you never know! and plus it's always better if you can spend lots of time together.

It all depends on how you two handle yourselves.
Some ppl needs to feel loved and cared for .They are like monkeys Proximity says it all for others they hear they believe they stay.
