There isn't one. They are both virtually useless, but fun as heck to watch when you push them down a flight of stairs.

The difference between them is actually quite clear: the Slinky was originally meant for practical use and went on to be a successful toy. And she's not VIRTUALLY useless; COMPLETELY is a better term.
