Alex B,\. Ph D , I don't believe we had to explain WWII . Every knew that we were attacked by Japan .We all pitched in to help with the war effort . men , women and children . Everyone sacrificed for their country and we all pulled together for the good of the Nation .

So I guess it's alright to go to war just because , someone hurt our feelings or they have something we want , it's good for business or maybe it's a distraction ?
Your saying it's OK to go to war just to show that we are stronger and have a better Military and you don't mind all the soldjers being killed as long you don't have to go fight yourself .
I mean , isn't that what we pay them to do , fight your wars . . .

Oh, boy, here we go again. Where were you on September 11, 2001?? You act like one day we just decided to send our troops over there for the heck of it! And everyone's saying Iraq all the time. We have many troops in Afghanistan, too. People have so many ways of twisting things around. Wish I could take a look back and in some way could see what would have happened if we didn't do ANYTHING after 911.

WWII was an unpopular war too. In fact, FDR won his re-election because he made the promise that America would not fight in the war, knowing that very likely, he would have to break that promise.

A war being "liked" or having to explain why you have to go has nothing to do with it being right or wrong to go.

Not necessarily. Issues might be abstract or ambiguous. Messages from biased bloggers can provide intentionally false or misleading info. (Think about it. Some freaks actually believe Bush was behind the 9/11 attacks.)

Hell no, lets go fight 'em all! Your damn right we want to show everybody else were stronger. We should do it more often. In fact I'm gonna go kick N. Korea's *** just as soon as I finish Highschool. Semper Fi,

If we have to explain why, after four years, we are worse off today than we were on day one, then there is something wrong with that war.

Yes, we went to war under false premises. And now things are out of control. We NEVER should have invaded!

No! Its just that some people are uninformed and some are uneducated, and then again some are Democrats and they must constantly be reminded that we are under attack by Muslim extremists.

Hummm....NO...Let's see...War for Independance...Continental Congress...ring any bells at all...Reasons to go to war with Britian. WW1...Congressional act of War...reasons to go to war with Germany....WW2 Congressional act of War...explain reasons to go to war with Germany again....do you see where I'm going with this...Every war America has ever fought has had explainations for going to war. And in each and every war America has fought there have always been dissenters, those who didn't want to go to war. So in answer to your question...NO, it is necessary to explain why you have to go to war.
