The only pharmacy I could afford to go to was shut down by the DEA this past Wednesday. I'm afraid I won't be able to afford my medication at other pharmacies. I've priced other pharmacies in the area and the cost to fill my prescriptions are triple the cost or more. I don't have medical coverage and am disabled. I have been applying for Supplemental Security Income and Medicaid but have not been accepted yet.

Do you have a Sam's club? If you do you need to get a business membership. i am in the same place you are and Sam's has many medications at 4$ for a month supply. also with a business card you get a substantial discount for instance 1 med i take at regular pharmacy's it is over 100$ at Sam's with a regular card it is 45$ with the business card it is 29$ for 120 tablets! If you have no Sam's club around you try ordering by mail or walmart and target are competing on prices to make them (most) prescriptions $4 for 1 month supply. also if you ask your Dr. some of the drug company's are offering help if you ask for the paper to fill out.also Montel Williams will show on his commercial a # and they will give you the # to call and the company will walk you through the steps to get them either discounted or even free. You may need papers filled out by the Dr. but that should not be a problem. Trust me I have had to do it all plus. Good luck and it will work out 1 way or another! also where i live they have 211 from a land line phone with any other info that you need i hope they have it there if not ask another question and i will do it for you (call the #) I do know the hardships and it should not be that way! also there are health departments that will provide needed medications. They are out there you just need the knowledge to get to them.good luck to you i feel your pain literally!!!!!

Sometimes, on an individual basis, the large pharmacy chains will lower the price of a drug. Each store has its own policy regarding this. They reduce the price by decreasing the dispensing fee.
