Here's the deal: I have known this girl for over 4 years now and we're really good friends. I kinda went crazy for her suddenly about 2 months ago, but wasn't sure what to do because, well, we were friends and I didn't want to ruin that by asking her out. But about two weeks ago I stopped thinking suddenly, and in a moment of bravery ran after her and asked her out. It was probably the worst thing you've ever seen, but she had a big wonderful smile on her face after I asked her. But now its been two weeks and she still hasn't said anything. I mean, we've talked and stuff and done stuff together, but she hasn't actually inclined wether its yes or no either way. I asked some friends, they say its up to her to make the next move, but I don't know what to think. Most probably she is about as shy as I am about it, and that's why nothing's been said yet. Also, there is a dance coming up soon that I would like to ask her to, but I don't know if I should, or if shes expecting me to, or what.

Sounds like she's just shy, and you need to make another move. Get her some flowers, and put a card on it that says, "if you really want to be together, just let me know, if not, I would still love to be friends. You're a wonderful person..." You get the idea. That way, she has to come to you, and you can still be friends if it doesn't work out.

Boy, she's waiting on your move! That smile alone should have told you that that was something she's been hoping and praying for, but like you she probably don't know how to go from friends to more. Ask her to the dance, it's a great opportunity to get close ... dance with her, run your fingers through her hair, pull her close, kiss her ... be brave man, or your chance to be with her is going to go *poof*!

Well, you just asked her out - you never specified when or where so I'd go and ask her for the specific dance and just get it over with - you'll save yourself many days of angony and if she smiled before and didnt do anything to embarrass you she wont now. The hardest part is already behind you - go for it.

In my opinion. You're already with her. That smile indicates a yes. Trust me. For the dance, go right up, and ask her out. Do it in the most romantic way possible. Go on one knee and give her a rose and ask her to be your date to the dance. You'll make her feel soo loved.

You just said, "Let's go out", and left it at that...?

Ask her to the dance and tell her how you will be picking her up, if you plan on going anywhere afterwards, and when you think you will bring her home.

Good luck and have fun!
