Try some light brown highlights, Lighter colors always looks gorgeous on darker skin!! Like honey, copper etc.

If you are getting a rinse, maybe try something that has a hint of color in it, maybe a soft ammount of dark brown or light browns,

You have to decide wether to go darker or lighter,

I don't recommend blues, reds, purples or blacks as they are too overpowering on many people and that look is not very " in " anymore. I especially don't recommend black as if it is not natural, it doesn't turn out too well, and you will never fully get the color out!

Your lucky to have caramel skin, So i do really think light browns, dark blondes, etc will compliment your tone!
Flip through some hair magazines and find what you like :) You will be suprised what there is out there.

Well, I have been coloring my hair for the past 7 years now. I would say that maybe keep the current hair color you have and just have blonde highlights put in it would be much easier to take care of because if you start coloring it too much you have to worry about breakage etc and your hair doesn't really sound like it is that long to begin with.

The grocery store has kits for highlights about $10.00 and that way you can try to see what color highlights look good on you.

You can try highlights just around your face to start...and if you don't like the color, in about a month, try a different one.

When you get it professionally done, you get another person's opinion of how you should look.

I've done (used to be called frosting), and now I used the permanent 10 minute coloring, from the grocery and drug stores!
