I updated my XP to SP2 last night and it will not move past the opening load-screen. My version of XP is legit (loaded on my pavilion) I cannot even restore factory defaults because the registry is generating errors.

U propbaby shut down ur pc by holding the power button because the SP2 got courrpted try starting in safe mode if that doesn't work u have to restore the whole pc.

i have 6 computers that run xp 1 linux and 1 mac and 1 vista i keep all my xp machines updated with the latest updates and have never had a problem . did you run a virus scan with a good antivirus before? and did you also use a good antispyware? if you didnt you are going to have problems

you cant hit *F10* for system recovery it shuld go do you have da. system recovery cd . put that in and restart pc
