Did you make the meatballs yourself? If you did and didn't toss out the grease from frying them, you can make the gravy with the grease and some flour and butter and cream. If you either didn't make the meatballs or already tossed out the grease left over, you can make the gravy with this recipe:
Gravy:
2 cups beef stock
2 tablespoons flour
1/4 cup heavy cream
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Fresh parsley, for garnish
To make gravy, deglaze the skillet with 1 cup of the stock, letting it simmer for 5 minutes while scraping the bottom of the skillet with a spatula. Strain the gravy into a clean saucepan and add the remaining 1 cup of stock. In a small bowl, mix the flour with 1/4 cup of cold water until smooth. Whisk flour mixture into warm gravy, and let simmer, whisking constantly to prevent lumps, until thickened slightly, about 3-5 minutes. Add the cream and season with salt and pepper.
I hope this helps!

Ingredients
1-1/2 cups soft bread crumbs
2/3 cup half-and-half, light cream, or milk
1 slightly beaten egg
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup finely snipped parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3/4 pound lean ground beef
1/2 pound ground veal
1/4 pound ground pork
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2/3 cup half-and-half, light cream, or milk
1-1/4 cups water
1 teaspoon instant beef bouillon granules
1/2 teaspoon instant coffee crystals
Directions
1. In a mixing bowl soak the bread crumbs in 2/3 cup half-and-half for 5 minutes. Add egg, onion, parsley, salt, ginger, and nutmeg. Add ground meats; mix well. Shape into 1- to 1-1/4-inch meatballs.
2. In an ungreased shallow baking pan bake meatballs in a 350 degree F oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F. Drain well on paper towels.
3. Meanwhile, melt margarine or butter in a large skillet. Stir in flour. Stir in the remaining half-and-half, the water, bouillon granules, and coffee crystals. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Add meatballs to skillet and heat through, about 1 minute. Makes 8 servings.

Water, Beef Boullion, Sour Cream, Salt and Pepper. Serve over flat Noodles and a side of Peas, good to go!
Another way is to use LIPTON Onion soup mix per instructions then add sour cream at the end. Reduce the onion soup down to about 50%, that's rich.

Try this, 1 jar of grape jelly and 1 jar of Heinz chili sauce. It gives it a sweet & sour taste.
