I agree its a load of nuts... I agree that people who can afford less to pay a little less... otherwise they will only be claiming benifit to suppliment the rest anyway... but why is it such a huge difference!! especially like your £3400..... i bet your get almost the same taken off of your wages each month in tax and national insurance....
Im studying at the moment and breaking my back with crap jobs whilst trying to find one that matches my training.....and i see all the yippity oiks getting everything for nothing and driving around in nice cars..
I tell ya i would have been better off getting some poor girl knocked up at school.. as then i would have been given a house, car and monthly cheque.. and everything else supplimented.. whilst all the rest of us poor saps are punished for working.
and as for the people who do deserve help they are punished when they try to suppliment there own benifits with a part time job by almost loosing all the help they get.... in this world you have to be rich or completely broke .. if you are in the middle your buggered!

I hate to say it because I work for Havering council (Romford) and I feel I work very hard it is so annoying when you see all the spongers coming in and getting everything they want and more - it's a bit much when we are writing to people to tell them they are not claiming enough benefits and do they know they can get more !!. I have always worked and always paid tax but i am thinking i should have been a ponce like the rest of them and then id have a lovely 4 bedroom house with my rent paid and sitting on my **** watching the t.v. and getting 'paid' an allowance for being at home spending time with my children - sometimes i really wonder why i work so hard to just keep paying the council more and more money for facilities that are never done properly

Beacause it's every resident, born and bred, Britains' right to be taken the piss out of. I have a 1 bed flat, privately rented. Work freelance - often 11 days a week, 12 hours a day - barely break even - i'm taxed on my earnings, national insured, council taxed, road taxed, etc and to top it all i live next door to a Job Centre - Now, i'm not being funny, probably presumtuous, but the majority of people i see hanging around there have the full compliment of Fashionable trainers, trakkies, baseball caps, a beemer and a pitbull terrier! It's almost like they dress up like a **** to make sure that they don't get employed!

oh what a shame, has the nasty people down the road ( less fortunate, less able, disabled , old folk) not paying because they are unable. Rather than moaning you should hold your head up high and admit that "I pay my way and Im proud of it!!!". You´ve managed to pay for your house well done, what did you pay ? 25 years ago I bet it was less than 30,000 pounds, whats it worth now I bet over 600,000 pounds thats 20 times what you paid for it. I feel so sorry for you try some Prozac.

Your problem is defo a case of being a normal person. Advice is to reinvent yourself as a drug addict, someone not born and bred in England (with grandfathers who fought for our freedom)or someone that just """"CANT""" get job. After all if it wasnt for peoplelike you who would pay for the brand new designer clothes they all have and who would pay their drinking and drugs money?
Also you need to pay for the policing of these people as they love getting arrested and also pay their council tax!!!
Rip up your birth certificate and become someone new!!!!!!!!!!

It relies upon mostly on the place you reside & the size of your place. I stay in a medium sized residing house in Devon and could pay £2129.fifty 8 in 2009/10 Our government are craftily pushing greater expenses onto close by government so somebody else gets blamed for their undesirable judgements.

Because that's Britain today mate, Great isn't it?
Your hard earned is supplementing the money the government gives your local council to pay out in benefits to lazy phuckers - so you're paying twice - once from your paypacket and once from your wallet.
Kinda comforting to know isn't it?
Doesn't it make you want to revolt against the sytem? I know it does me.

I fully sympathise, I think we should have a choice over the services we get, if you want to dispose of your rubbish, why should we pay for a service we don't want
If you live in a remote place and want your rubbish collected every week, then maybe you should pay accordingly
