Why is radical Islam so intolerant of non-believers?

Also , why are so many moderate Muslims so tolerant of the views of of the radicals?
The answers to these questions might explain why Islam is such an evil religion.

After reading some of the answers, I guess "evil religion" was a poor choose of words. Lancer's term, "flawed religion" is much closer to what I meant.
I still would like answers to my questions.
While I'm not personally overly religious, I assure you all that I "hate" no one and believe in everyone's right to religious freedom.

These are a couple of million dollar questions. I wish I knew the answers. I can't say I disagree with the premise.
As far as Islam being an "evil religion" , I'm not sure about that one, perhaps a "flawed religion" would be a more accurate description. The flaw being that it can be so easily manipulated and hijacked by the radicals. I don't think Mohammad would approve of the direction modern Islam has taken.

Actually... no. The reason radical Islam is intolerant of other religions is because they are not real muslims and don't know enough about Islam to defend it. They are just fanatics and do something the second they hear it without even thinking twice about it. Prophet Muhommad (PBUH) loved all people, Muslim or Not. He had many non-muslim relatives who he loved just as much as he did his Muslim ones. So purhaps before those people come to rediculous conclusions, they should read up on the sunnahs of the Prophet Muhommad PBUH.

every radical is intolerant to any one different regardless of what that radical believes.
why do some moderate Muslims tolerate the radicals maybe its because they think that they are lesser of a threat than the invading armies and occupying forces.

RADICAL Islam... pretty much sums it up buddy. They believe in a false interpretation of their faith that makes them violent, stupid and bloodthirsty.

And why do Moderate Muslims tolerate them... actually its not tolerance they are practicing. Its something else... but I doubt its tolerance...
