I haven't decided yet. If I can wrangle myself a proper reincarnation, I'd rather like that, but I'm also considering other, more entertaining options.

And yes, I think it's rather like picking out a vacation home.

There is definitely an afterlife but you won't find many facts about it in your religions that arose out of the mid-east.

Your consciousness goes on. A lot of people don't even realize they are dead yet. You can stay in that area or make the choice to go through the 'light' which is a event horizon that combines your two polarities back together.

If you want to get a 'glimpse' of the afterlife, the best movie that portrays it that I've seen is "What Dreams May Come.

Knowing that we were all created by God and given the opportunity to abide the laws of the bible (for guidance), we should not question that the bible explains that we will be "conscious of nothing at all." Dead is dead. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
There is no afterlife, only resurrection and ONLY if you have the right heart condition and are in alignment with God's will. Some people can't accept truth for what it is but did people listen to Jesus? Sadly, not all of them.

To be absent from the body is to be present in the Lord. I believe that I will be present before God, who is my judge, with Jesus at my side, who is my advocate. Covered by the blood of the Lamb, all I want to hear, is well done my good and faithful servant. I want to be welcomed home into heaven. And I hope my mansion is a cabin in the woods, with lots of trees and lakes. My best dog will be there with me, and my dad and mom will live down the road.

As I believe the bible is the word of God, it says "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". Since my faith is in Jesus Christ as my savior, that is where I will be....thank God for that!

Personally in all honesty, I think I will be in a grave until, Jesus
returns to judge the living and the dead.

I believe that I will go to be with Jesus in paradise.

Luke 23:39-43 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Philippians 1:21-23 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
