The implication is sound, though it is not a direct correlation. God may be as long as somebody thinks it is; that somebody doesn't necessarily need to be you. Such is the wonder of conceptual engineering.

you exist in the moment of Now. not the moment before, nor the moment after, you are always in the moment of Now.
What ever you are doing, wether its watching tv, or sitting and smoking, you know what you are doing at the moment of Now.
For what ever you want to see , in each moment, you will see.
If you believe in God, then you see that to be so, by looking in that direction of thought.
yet if you do not, then you look at another direction of thought.
thoughts are like islands in a distance, we look in one area, and think one thing depending on what we see.
we look in another , and see a different island, and change what we think, for what we see.
if we want to see somthing, we draw our attention to the picture that is near by
