If you don't have any objections to flying airplanes (either as a Pilot or a crewmember), then I would say the Air Force. I have been in for 20 years as a C-130 Navigator, and have been to over 60 countries. Plus, you get paid to visit these places!

Join the Navy see the world...or so the old slogan went. If you're looking for travel then the Navy's your ticket. All the
Army and Marines want you to do is defend the country so you'll see such exotic ports of call like Iraq. However, the Navy allows you to travel from port to port without much fear of ever actually being in combat...can you remember the last full scale naval war? That would be in WW2. I've been a Marine for a long, long time. I've seen a lot of places but they've always been for a purpose...ie fighting...Join the Navy if you want to travel.

There are a lot of benefits to joining the military but the opportunity to travel should not influence the branch you go into or whether or not you enlist. That being said, my husband has been in the Marine Corps. almost four years and has been to seven countries including Japan, Iraq, Thailand, Korea, etc. He has also been in SC, NC, MO, and CA.

Well, I was in the Army. (Way back when.) And I managed to see seven different states and two other countries in ten years. (Yeah, I moved alot! Sometimes so quick that it took my butt a few days to catch up with me!)
I had a buddy in the Navy that didn't see alot of the US, but was in more foreign ports than a dog has fleas!
It probably depends on what kind of travel you want. I liked seeing the US. My bud liked the overseas stuff. The thing to remember is that the free travel comes with a price. Good luck.

Travel, what type? If you want to go to many different places but only see them for a day or so, I would have to say the Navy. The Airforce would come in a close second. If you would like to travel to other countries and live in a different country and experience the culture, I have to say the Army.

I think all of the branches of the military offer at least some travel opps. As for which one offers the most, I'd guess Navy.

at the beginning, so as to "bypass Officer" you want a diploma. era. desire to commute, then the two branch would be good. i'm biased to the Marines. i'm one. yet, the army has bases international and the army for sure has ships that bypass everywhere too. Enlisted. on the grounds which you do not have a diploma, you will no longer be able to bypass officer. so a approaches as MOS, see what's offered to you in ALL BRANCHES.

thoraxx isn't well informed. Plenty of Navy in Afg. and Iraq. It just depends on what your job is in the Navy. To answer your question I would say Navy. If you go Navy and want to see Iraq also, go for Intelligence. Or get picked to be with JSOC it won't matter what branch of service your in, you will go to Iraq for sure.

All of them, depends where you want to go. Army gets deployed then sent back to Fort Hood. Navy, you go alot of places but won't see much of them if you're on a submarine.
