I've seen several Muslim posts that will put the words (pbuh) after "Jesus", what does "(pbuh)" mean and why do you use it after Jesus' name?

I mean no disrespect, I just hope that you are not disrespecting Jesus.

It stands for Peace Be Upon Him because we love Jesus just as our Prophet. We also use that after using our Beloved Muhommad (PBUH)'s name. Many people assume that muslims don't believe in Jesus but this is false. We do believe in him, just not the same way Christians do. We do not think of his as God's son, However, we do believe he is the son of Virgin Mary (or Maryam in the Quran.)

That is not offensive at all, you are just curious. I am also very curious about other religons. =)

Oh! no not at all (PBUH) means peace be upon him we use the same term after our noble prophet Mohamed PBUH..we say it as a respect... Muslims can't ever disrespect Jesus PBUH coz we Muslims consider him as one of Allah's messenger beside the prophet Mohamed PBUH considers him as a brother... Peace:)

Means: PEACE BE UPON HIM
It is used as a wish that he may have peace from God. This is used after the name of every Prophet, even the Angel Gabriel, as he was the Angel chosen to deiver God's messages to Mohammed (pbuh). It is true that we do not believe that God has a son, it does not make Jesus a lesser person than other Prophets. We have great respect for all of them. They are pure persons, much better than us.

Peace Be Upon Him. We muslim will NEVER disrespect JESUS in any way cause he is considered one of the finest prophets other then our prophet. That (pbuh) is also noted in Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) or Moses(pbuh) or any other prophets.

"pbuh" is abbreviation for "Peace Be Upon Him." It is a respectful and pious wish which Muslims normally insert after the names of prophets and respected persons who have died. Muslims regard Jesus as a prophet, deserving of this respect. They do not regard him as God, the source of Peace; hence it is appropriate to wish him peace.

in accordance to our scripture, Jesus became raised a Jew....which meant that he became born right into a relatives that had accompanied the Jewish faith....i.e the religion of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He did no longer come to alter the regulation of the Jews, he got here to fulfill that regulation. to fulfill potential to end what the previous testomony prophecied.....which became the beginning of a Savior...born of a virgin who became to be born interior the city of David (which became Bethlehem). It additionally prophecied that this Savior would be killed via his very own human beings and often is the sacrificial lamb for sinners. all of us understand that the religion of Islam became additionally an offshoot from the Jewish faith....yet an offshoot that chosen to take a distinctive path. i won't say something undesirable approximately your faith. Your faith is your faith and is none of my organization. yet, i think of you could understand that that's noticeably no longer likely that we would have self belief that a 2d prophet would come after Jesus and in basic terms approximately thoroughly opposite what we've been instructed. i'd desire to ask....in case you honor Jesus...why then is it which you do no longer admire him for what he did and reported? He reported he became the Son of God. would the main intense God Bless You.
