Lastnight we found our poodle (he is really old) he has no teeth and he hasnt been eating for the past fews days....lastnight when we found him he was laying on a pillow and shaking. When he tries to walk he cant even stand up. We tried to get him to eat again but he wouldnt. What can I feed him that he dont need teeth to eat?

Oh I hate to answer this. If he is not in pain then all you can do is to be prepared he is dying. If he IS in pain please take him to the vet to be put to sleep. I am so sorry. We went through this with our cocker spaniel. I still miss him. Good luck to you. Again, I am incredibly sorry. You said he is really old, I know you will still miss him but at least you have had many years to love him.

This poor dog needs to go to the vet to find out why he can't walk or even stand up! Shouldn't that be of a little more concern than what kind of food to feed him right now? Get him to the vet.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog. He could have had a seizure, or a stroke or any number of other things. Only a vet is going to be able to tell you. He needs to see a vet asap!

If he is old and showing no interest in eating he may be dying. I'm sure you wouldn't want him to suffer, please take him to the vet. If they can't help him the kindest thing would be to let them end his suffering.

He depends on you for everything, don't let him down. Get him help now.

Good luck.

Your dog is in the process of dying...keep him warm and comfortable and close to you. He will have accidents, so keep his blankets clean. Make sure there is food and water available, but he probably won't eat or drink. He will go to sleep and not wake up. Sorry for your loss.
