So, when there are enough of them, they will all suddenly unite (despite the fact that they come from all over the world and have no idea who or where the others are) and "cause trouble". Doesn't this sound a wee bit paranoid?

Come live in my part of this country, Low profile my aching butt! The only low thing about these criminals is their mentality. The flash point is fast approaching, dont be caught unaware.

In 2000, Hispanics were the largest minority group, numbering 35.3 million individuals, slightly larger than the African American population (34.7 million). By the year 2025, Hispanic Americans will account for 18 percent of the U.S. population. If current demographic trends continue, the Hispanic population will almost triple.
By 2050; ONE OUT OF EVERY FOUR AMERICANS WILL BE HISPANIC.

Yes! & i wouldn't be so mad if these people were legal hispanics, but an overwhelming ammount are illegals, This is America, Not Mexico, They are bitter and feel that it is their right to come to America, Many still feel that they should " own " Texas etc,
This is our America! Get the illegals OUT!

That's been a matter of debate, too...if people are willing to break our immigration laws wilfully, what OTHER laws might they take a stab at, next?

Bush said it best, we're a nation of immigrants, and we're also a nation of laws...

This starts coming down to a matter of basic principles:
1) handling immigration properly and professionally
2) dealing with violations of the law effectively and thoroughly
3) updating 20th century practices to 21st century realities.

I for one feel strongly that it's important to prevail upon US employers that if they're not fully in compliance with all the relevant laws and regulations regarding the legal status of their employees, as in whether or not people have any lawful right to be in our country to begin with, then they need to try to get there.

I also feel that the US/Mexico border fence is a good thing...it will physically help to deter people from seeking unlawful entry into the United States from Mexico...eventually I would expect to see a US/Canada border fence, too, as many problems have been reported there also, over the years. It would be blind and foolish to assume that Mexico's the only source of people trying to 'jump the line'...

'Low profile' or no, this is one that's a call-out for all 50 states to stand up and decide what they'll be dealing with for the next couple decades, or so. Schools and hospitals going out of business due to overburden just isn't going to work out...and since that overburden is being introduced in several states by many many illegal aliens, it's decision time for em as to how to best handle the whole mess.

It's my opinion that a lot of americans want to see positive action taken to curb the sheer number of illegal aliens in the United States today. It's estimated that there's between 12 and 20 million, but no one's quite sure, might be more than that, might be less...at the end of the day, though, there is a problem with all of this that needs to be addressed.

Proponents of illegal immigration are quick to cry 'racism', but it bears keeping in mind that america's already multi-ethnic, and polyglot(many languages), and since such accusations are also accompanied by things like specious land claims from Mexico, as well as a booming drug trade, numerous instances and examples of crime/organized crime, it'd be the dull individual indeed that didn't prop up an eyebrow on this issue...

I think it's going to be necessary, at some point, to breach the topic of 'sanctuary cities', cities that've somehow magically anointed themselves with this immigration enforcement immunity...nevermind that it's in breach of federal law, but
I think it's always been one of those issues that's right on the cusp of states' rights etc...nonetheless, it's a national problem,
and as such it really does need to be addressed effectively, and taken care of promptly.

I think if they can get something off the ground that puts the whole employer issue in black-and-white, even if it's just re-publishing the relevant laws and statutes in the local papers,
that might start evoking some kind of reaction, steer things a little closer to the mark, there...reform won't be easy, but it's easier if you first get started...I think if companies are so attached to the idea of hiring foreign labor, then they should 'outsource' themselves to that country...and leave nothing so much as a paperclip behind, and good riddance. That way, they'll be making room for a future american company that believes in hiring americans...I could go on, but you probably get the idea...

Hasn't it reached that point already? Quite frankly, fill them with enough beer and booze and the problem will pass out.

Why is Mexico's pres so upset about the fence? Because illegals are now the #1 source of income for Mexico.

Let’s look at the facts of illegal migration into America:
In excess of 10 million illegal Mexicans reside in the United States. A full three million swamp California. Estimates show another 10 million from 100 countries around the world live and work in the United States contrary to federal law. (source: US Census Bureau)
Every year, three million illegal aliens enter the USA. (source: Time Magazine, September 12, 2004) *California’s three million illegal aliens cost taxpayers $9 billion annually. (source: Federation for American Immigration Reform)
Illegal aliens cost the federal government $10 billion more annually than they pay in taxes. (source: Center for Immigration Studies)
Taxpayers suffer $1.4 billion annually to house 48,000 illegal aliens in California prisons and over $1.6 billion annually for aliens in federal prisons. (Federation for American Immigration Reform)
11,000 MS-13 Gang members, all illegals, operate in 33 states and distribute $128 billion in drugs from Mexico annually. (source: Newsweek)
$400 billion annually goes uncollected in IRS taxes from illegal aliens working off the books. (source: Bears and Sterns report 2005)
1.5 million illegal alien children create language havoc in schools across the country with ESL. Over 350,000 anchor babies annually gain free medical services at a cost of millions of dollars to Americans.

The problems will come from the fire built by the radical Marxist groups like La Raza that advocate the hostile takeover of the southwest. They are the groups that ran the protests in the streets. They are the real problem. Not the average illegal, these groups fill the uneducated with lies and fire them up to do the things they do and say.To me they are the real problem and need to be arrested, tried and convicted for treason, since their founder and leader is an American.

"We have an aging white America ... They are dying ...We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is if the worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him." Jose Angel Gutierrez, professor, University of Texas, Arlington and founder of the La Raza Unida political party

"If anyone's going to be deported, it's going to be you! ... Get out! We are the future. You're old and tired. Go on. We have beaten you – leave like beaten rats. You old white people, it is your duty to die. Right now, we're already controlling those elections, whether it's by violence or nonviolence. Through love of having children we're going to take over." Augustin Cebada, information minister of Brown Berets, militant para-military soldiers of Aztlan shouting at U.S. citizens at an Independence Day rally in Los Angeles.

The fortunate thing is that the vast majority of illegals are otherwise decent people and are here for the opportunities that capitalism provides -- primarily your success is a result of you effort. That keeps them busy and out of trouble.

The trouble will start when they've been convinced enough by the socialists here that they no longer have to work to receive the fruits of this country. Then they'll have time on their hands, get bored, and start causing all kinds of trouble.

We pay for their health care on a daily basis. It's costing Americans a ton of money and it increases annually. Could they cause trouble? Who knows?

What about all those marches that the illegals did in different parts of America showing their flags and dishonoring the American flag by flying it up side down. You want more prove than that, that this is an invasion by the Mexicans. You want more prove? They are here and getting stronger.

I think you are a little late and it has already started. They are eating away at us like cancer from the inside. Taking our jobs, taking advantage of our health care systems and government resources, lowering the level of standards in school systems, insulting our way of life, stealing from us and committing many other crimes right here on our soil.
