i passed a drunk in the gutter--- he was wasted--- maybe dead, but i didn't see him there the day after

No I cannot say I have. I live pretty much away from the parts of town where that would be prevalent and I cannot drive that far by myself anymore. However, if I did see someone lying in the gutter, I would do whatever I could to make sure the person was okay and I would help them find a suitable shelter before I returned to my own journey.

No I have not ever seen anyone lying in the gutter but even then I would nort have just walked past without calling for help,and that is honest!

Honestly Yes ... and also Honestly no.
I have walked past one guy in the gutter who was laying there being abusive and I RAN past him too scared to stop .... but I have also helped a guy laid in the gutter covered in vomit and looking pretty much worse for wear ... by help I mean I phoned for an ambulance and waited with him until they got there.

No, never. Then again, I've never seen anyone laying in a gutter. I have seen a person crying on the bus and have stopped to offer assistance, though. Does that count?

Not in the gutter, but lying under the interstate overpass. I felt so bad and went to get something for him to eat and when I went back, the police had already made him leave.

No, I actually have never seen someone lying in the gutter, but I'd help them if I could. I'd probably be too scared of being hurt, but I'd definately call for help.

I've seen people laying in a lot of different places, but not the gutter. I tried it once. Don't do it during rainy season...

Normally when I'm drunk, I don't notice, but the guy lying in the gutter may be drunk, so you just leave them alone and let them get on with it
