I have only one user for Windows XP, called "Owner." No one else uses this computer, so there is only one user to select when I start the computer and Windows begins to load. How can I get Windows to skip the user select screen?

Update: I've been told one way is to set up a password free account. If this is the way to go, how do I do it?

Well what do you know, you can !!!!
There's a software available called TWEAK UI.
http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/c/a/fca6767b-9ed9-45a6-b352-839afb2a2679/TweakUIPowertoySetup_ia64.exe
Download it.
Run the program and click on the + button of the Logon option (seen on the left pane)
Select Auto Logon
Check the first option.
Give ur username and set your password.
Click apply.
Restart.
You are all done.
