No sleeping pills are available readily to anyone anywhere. Sleeping pills are prescribed by doctors to their patients on a need basis. Also you can not buy many sleeping pills at a time, Strictly speaking, the prescription for sleeping pills should be taken and kept in the records of the medical shops, so that one person uses his prescriptin only once. Also, sleeping pills are not given in large quantities so as to avoid its misuse.

Tylenol pm, Nytol, and generic "sleeping aids". You can also use Benadryl for help with falling asleep. I've tried everything and the over-the-counter remedies don't help me fall asleep, they keep me dragging around the next day. I finally went for prescription medication and am on Ambien (since 1 year ago). Nothing works better! I have restful sleep and wake up feeling refreshed every morning. Go to a family practitioner and get a prescription if this doesn't work for you with the over-the-counter stuff. Insomnia is so debilitating; I know, I've struggled with it for years. Hope you find something and get a good night's sleep.!

There is a dug called Diphlinhydramine (spelling?). It is basically Benadryl. I take this almost every day and it works great! It is very safe and sold over the counter. I tried Ambien and Lunesta...they were horrible. They both made me feel like a zombie. The lunesta was the worst. It gave me a all day headache and nausea.

The drug companies are really pushing Lunesta and Ambien, but I wouldn't suggest sleeping pills.
