YES, of course. The way they are performing, during a war they would come down without the enemy firing a shot at them.
But it is said that there is nothing wrong with the MIGs as such. Sub standard spares are being used for their repair resulting in frequent crashes. So how about looking at that aspect?

better remove all air fare except cargo and passenger airlines
and save defence expenditure in thousand of crores
