I believe the Koran was dictated by the Angel Gabriel to Mohammed. I have not actually read the Koran, nor am I an expert on Islam.
I also believe that the Bible is considered the inspired word of God, but much of it is historical in nature. Probably, because Christians believe that Jesus is God incarnate, the words of Jesus in the New Testament, would be the most direct.
Many religions purport to be directly inspired, though. Whether they are or not....who can say? That is a matter of faith.

All Scripture from the major religions has been revealed to mankind by God through Manifestations of Himself such as Abraham, Zoroaster, Krishna, Buddha, Moses, Jesus Christ, Mohammed, the Bab and Baha'u'llah. He sends His revelations periodically (approx. 500-1000 years apart). All of His revelations revive the spiritual teachings of the previous Manifestations of God, but bring new social guidance and laws that are appropriate for the age in which they have been revealed. The most recent one was given to mankind in 1844. There are more than 100 volumes in this revelation and it is housed on Mt. Carmel in Haifa, Israel.

2 Timothy 3:16,17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Peter 1:20,21 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
