"Used " can sound like "used up"... "pre-owned" is better, but "certified pre-owned" sounds even better. They're all "used", but some are better than others. Stay away from the auction cars at the "buy here / pay here" places unless your uncle is a mechanic!

ever took a pshyc class? maybe a creative marketing class? whey ya try to sell something it is all in the way it is presented. every thing from "preowned cars" to you when ya go out on a date.. and yes i know i need a spelling class. lol

it sounds better, im sure they sell more they are still used cars no matter what term they come up with.
