The flank pain was severe for me, and I could not pass the stone at all, it blocked my uretur and caused by kidney to swell to dangerous proportions. I had to have lithotripsy to blast the stone into sand so I could pass that.
Good luck to you.

Passing a kidney stone is different for different people. My friend pased the stone in 24 hrs, but another friend it passed in two hours from the time they felt pain.

seen a lot of them, the pain is in the flank on the affected side, radiates down into the groin, sharp and severe, usually constant. can be hours or days if not relieved by meds or passed. flood your system with fluids, water gatorade etc, try to flush it out, if you dont plan to seek care. take the strongest pain meds you have.
