sure, sounds like he may like you. Are you guys friends, meaning do you see and speak to him daily? if you are already friends with him make it a point to hang out and see where it goes from there, just get to know him better before you confess you feelings

There's a very good chance. But you shouldn't be asking us, or his friends. You should be asking him.
I just can never understand how people are always so afraid of being shot down. What is really the worst that can happen? He's nice to you already, right? Do you really think he'd be mean to you in any case? It doesn't sound like it from what you've said.
Just ask and find out. It's a lot better than ruining yourself with worry. Not to mention it could bring you two together before the end of the week!
