You know the amazing thing about faith and God is that faith in God creates it's own miracle. I'm not saying that it's self-fulfilling. I'm saying that until you know what faith really truly is you have to just trust us when we say that the Bible is true. Faith is not trust. It is something more. It has power. Once you start to explore The Bible's depths and truly study it, it becomes abundantly clear to you how much truth is contained within. Then you obtain faith. It's really quite amazing, and you can only understand it once you accept the challenge and open your mind.
Trust us first enough to study God's teachings. Obtain knowledge and understanding. The Holy Spirit will open up your heart and you will know true faith in God.
If you really read and study the Bible you will quickly see how pertinent it is to modern times. I believe the Bible because it makes more sense as a human instruction manual than any other book I have ever read.

What is proof? dictionary.com says it's evidence sufficient to establish a thing as true, or to produce belief in its truth. Anything serving as such evidence. The act of testing or making trial of anything; test; trial. The establishment of the truth of anything; demonstration.
The evidence that I can point to is the millions of people (including myself) who can testify that the Bible has changed their lives dramatically for the better. We know that when we use the tenets of the Bible, and follow what it says, our lives are richer, more beautiful and fulfilling in ways that it cannot be without the Bible. We know it to be the Word of God for us.
Historically, there are many proofs, too many to mention here. Also, you can look at the deaths of many of the people of the Bible and know that they were killed for their faith. Would you die for your beliefs?

Well, it is an important historical document, with a lot of good history and cultural/societal sorts of stuff.
As to proving the religious part...you really can't. Just take it for whatever it means to you.

If people could prove the Bible is true, then they wouldn't need faith. And if faith is what it takes to make something true then that means all religions are true because they all require faith to believe.

All you have to do is read it and understand when it was put together , and by whom it was put together to realize there are some nice thoughts to live by but it's a fairytale for the most part
