Either is normal. It is just a myth that a sick dog has a dry nose. If your dog isn't feeling bad and/or not running a temp (checked rectally) then he should be just fine and you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Dogs keep cool by doing 3 things. 1. sweating from the bottoms of their feet. 2. Panting. 3. sweating from their noses. It is a old wise tail that a healthy dog has a wet nose.

It is just a myth that a dry, warm nose means a dog has a fever or is sick. Their noses can be either moist or dry. If you want to know if a dog has a temp, use a thermometer.

Your dog's nose should always be moist. Do you have a humidifier? That may be a reason as to why your dog's nose is dry. I had that issue with my dog when I first adopted my pet. She was trying hard to breathe and her nose was a bit dry. I have not had the problem since I bought the humidifier.

a dog's nose should always be wet. More like, moist, not ''wet''.
If its not wet then the dog suffers dehydration or some kinda sickness.

a dogs nose should always be slightly wet, if it is dry this is the result of a slight temperature or dehydration caused by both illness or bad diet.
