Living day by day is surely the best way, but not everyone can afford to do it - people with children or elderly relatives to support certainly have to think of the future and plan for it. It all depends what your responsibilities are, and for whom, you are responsible.

Speaking from expeirience having been depressed after the loss of my husband and mother within 2 months I live from day to day. I feel more positive about life and awaken each day ready to face what life has to offer. I rather not to plan to far ahead, live life for the present the future will take care of it's self.

Those who plan ahead. These people not only have something to look forward to, but they hold the belief that they are actively working towards the solutions they need.
A day by day person has to live with the chaos of not knowing what will come next, good or bad.

If you plan ahead, you will have certain expectations and when those don't get met, you will be disappointed bringing on depression. My motto, no expectations, no disappointments...live for the day and try not to think about the next until you're actually there.

Who plan for the day to come, are those who will be always despressed and worried about whats coming next. !
Those who live day by day, are those who wake up erasing all about what happened before and whats gonna happen next, thus there depression level is less.
Yet it doesnt mean its right to live day by day or think about the days to come, a person should think about the cuz of depression and eliminate it ... and keep positive ideas ahead for his life

Probably those that live day by day. If you plan ahead and things go wrong you end up feeling you have failed and therefore end up depressed about the whole thing

Those who are unable to adjust to the daily pressures are most likely to get one. Planning ahead or living one day at a time doesn`t really matter.

People who plan ahead are always moaning. I try to be the happy-go-lucky type and I don't really give a f*ck about anything. You could die tomorrow so live for now!

I try to make plans big enough so the daily glitches and opportunities fit right in. That way, I get to be happy all along.

I think those that live day to day. People who plan and fail are set them selves up for disappointment when they don't succeed. That's my opinion.
