What I think of it is this, love is when you care about someone and you know you want to be with that person forever. Friendships aren't quite like that. They might last forever, but it might not be that special someone.

hhhmm thats a tough one cause if you think about it they are alike in many ways. i guess the they difference is love is a feeling that you cant control, when your in love you think about that person day in and day out. You have relationships with alot of people...if you add up your friends and family, but there is only ONE person that you love and that relationship is only between u and that person because it is special and yall are the only two ppl in the world tha share it.hope that helps.
