Can a pizza place advertise itself as "Halal" when they have pork (pepperoni) on the premises?

So far in this world, no restaurant serving alcohol can be certified as Halal. However in Singapore, restaurants serving Halal food and alcohol at the same time can still obtain a Halal certificate for their kitchen to guarantee that at least the food served is Halal.

About the pepperoni..no.. because there is bound to be cross contamination during food preparation.

No------they are not Halal. Do not believe it. Likewise, a Kosher restaurant cannot serve pork and shellfish.

The place may not be, but there beef might be and they can advertise themselves as such. Muslim halal rules are not as stringent as Jewish kosher laws. Muslims will eat with cutlery that has been used on porc once it's been washed whereas Jews won't even mix milk and meat kitchen ware.

Basically "Halal" used to describe forbidden meat which has been killed in the name of Allah, and it has nothing to do with what it's served with Halal meat.

although it's extremely not recommended, yet it's not prohibited to eat at a restaurant that serves alcohol or a pork unless that your food does not contain alcohol or pork
