Your dog either ran away to die or someone has him/her. You should check with animal control or humane societies in your area. I'm sorry for your loss.

Hopefully your dog has an animal chip. I was able to adopt my dog from animal care and control and they embedded a chip for security. I hope that you can find your dog. I would try every animal shelter you have in the city parameter near you. You would be surprised as to how far they walk to find shelter, food, water. It is possible that your dog has passed away.

Getting over loosing someone close to you is a horrid experiance. your dog obviously had a long and happy life you will not get over it instanly-no-one does! but gradually over time you will accept the fact that your dog has died.
good luck!!!

Get another dog or another animal.... Not to take her place , but to get your mind off of your other dog , I`m sure your dog woulden`t like to see her owner sad !
