PS: The winner Floyd Landis tested positive for steroids and has been disqualified. He filed a petition and the organizing comittee is currently investigating. The above rankings are the official ones, once a final decision is reached it will be updated, but the above is the correct standings as per the official site.

Those are the rankings, indeed. Now, Floyd was embroiled in a doping scandal, immediate post-Tour. Allegedly, both his "A" and "B" samples came back with higher-than-normal testosterone counts.
However, as I see it, there is no real proof. Consider these little gray-area tidbits: A) The tour brass have been more than eager to have a non-American win after enduring seven years of Lance Armstrong; b) the lab that did the work is infamous for keeping horrendously shoddy documentation, c) given the grueling pace of the tour, honesly, do you think anyone is really clean anymore? Who can do 28 days going up mountains on just oxygen, water and pasta?
The tour officially does not recognize Landis as the winner (and the Phonak team folded after this scandal). I, personally, recognize Floyd as the winner.

i'm extraordinarily effective that whilst we talk the drug mafia is bobbing up new untraceable drugs and new the thank you to fool the attempting out labs. I additionally think of that many youthful riders will think of two times in the previous taking any and threat each and every thing... or perhaps not. in case you are able to make a pair hundred million funds in some years as a expert, might you rather care approximately loosing some sweatted yellow jerseys? after all, i think of that the subsequent scandal, would be sabotage. The mafia can spray or squirt banned ingredients on the face of a passing bike proprietor, or the door knob of a lodge room, and get a bike proprietor out of the race for some races. i think of we are already witnessing this.
