I balooned up in my heavy beer drinking days. The same amount of alcohol consumed as hard liquor did not have that effect on my body fat.

Yes. Beer is a LOT more fattening than hard liquor.
And you're right, you will drink much less of the liquor to get that buzz than by drinking beer, so the caloric intake is far less.

Both are high in calories. Beer has more carbohydrates than Liquor. 150 calories per 8 oz. can of beer. 1 shot of Brandy is 50 calories. You're better off having a shot of Brandy with 8oz. of selzter water.

Beer has more calories. But are you mixing the liquor with anything that has more calories in it?

The amount of alcohol you drink actually makes a difference too. Your body thinks alcohol is energy, so it "burns" it. While your body's burning alcohol, it doesn't work on anything else. So think of alcohol in your system as stalling your body from burning any calories.

Yes. And if you drink Liquor you can still be on a diet such as Adkins. All you need to do is mix it with diet cola. Beer also has lots of cabs. I hope this helped I could use the extra 10pts..lol
